Now that the WHO has declared a full blown pandemic and the number of cases of swine flu aka A/H1N1 in Thailand has jumped the government is telling everyone to wear face masks now.
Of course, some people are calling it a big hoax because the news is a lot and the number of cases is only a little. That’s not really a hoax, is it. That’s just hyping it too much. Still, if I have to wear a face mask it should be something fashionable or at least fun.

I thought I’d read that face masks aren’t particularly effective for this strain.
As for the hoax issue – it’s a real danger, but I do agree that the media has once again “amplified” the news.
