A couple of shots from inside the TV Pool edition that has Panward Hemmanee on the cover. And the photos are cute but so heavily retouched that Panward looks like a plastic doll.
The trend to do this is really out of control, unless that is what they are trying to do, make the models look fake and plastic.

You’re right – I wonder if they’re trying to blur the line between photos of live subjects and sophisticated computer graphics? These look like CGI more than a real person. Not just her face-nearly all exposed skin. As far as I can judge, only her fingers and perhaps a bit of her eyelids escaped the plasticizing.

I worked in media when I was in Japan, and digital retouching (prior to production) is very common. But some people don’t know how to do it correctly and naturally. It’s more than just overlapping filters over filters. Take a look at the first pic. Unless it’s cloudy or rainy, there’s no need to enhance the white (some digital retouching artists call it “bright” or “light”) in outdoor areas. But like I said, some people just don’t know how to do it right.
Or maybe they did that so Panward’s skin looks very bright? I know some people are also obsessed with “very” white skin. XD
Digital retouching can be considered as a trend in media industry, but I hope nobody makes bad retouching as one. XD

Hey, speaking of Panward, aren’t we suppose to see her movie by now? You know, the one so-called “Thailand’s first erotic movie” which directed by Tak? The one where she could pick any woman she likes to be her on-screen partner? Or the idea and the whole script has been dumped? XD

It looks to me like one of those porcelain dolls, which were always a bit spooky for some reason. Her fingers look quite ugly, kind of knobly like she has arthritis, too much Thai dancing perhaps

Oh no, Thai dancing makes your hand beautiful. Mine are still flexible and pretty from when I did dancing when I was young.

You mean traditional Thai dancing, right? Or there’s another Thai dancing Luke was talking about?
Anyway, I cannot say I disagree with Luke. Panward’s fingers in the second pic look horrible. Maybe the retouching artist should wear a better glasses or pay attention to the whole photo instead of just Panward’s face.

I agree that her hands are not attractive in that image. I recall getting that impression from an earlier post here-although I don’t recall whether it was Panward or another model, and I’m too lazy to go bad and find out.
I think it is due primarily to poor photoshopping.
