I saw some photos on one of the forums from a new Bangkok club called Shock 39. “Clubbing as it should be” is what they say about themselves. The Russian vodka girls look pretty cute so that is “as it should be”, hehe.
Not so sure about the stage part. That is just for shows and not for regular people dancing, right? Seems like the show was pretty small, just one or two chubby girls dancing. Maybe the grand opening will have a bigger show.
Their website says their grand opening is on July 30 so this must have been a soft opening.

An opinion from a girl who’s into, well, you know it: I agree with the chubby part. They’re not obese, but surely they’re not slim either. Just look at those belly… XD

Maybe I’ve been seeing too many thin Thai woman lately, but that’s what I thought, too. For dancers, not much body tone.

That location keeps trying, Stopped in the other night with a group of 7, We had a good Dance. If you’ve been to that location before they have refurbished it, more soft lighting, Music was Good but just a tad loud, service was also good.
I’ve heard it’s the same owner as spicy club,(which is on my shit list as the security can’t control the grabby mob that sits in the back and physically intimidates the western girls- don’t worry we also had to help a few Thai girls out of thier grasp as they made the corner.)
Will stop in again to see how S39 grows. Has a chance of becoming the new favorite.

Thanks for the review Soi 1 David. It’s always good to get the word from someone who has been to a new club. I used to go to openings now and then but can’t do it now that I’m not in Bangkok.
