I saw news about this in my Google alert today. The tourist police in Chiang Mai made a cover of the hit music video Sorry Sorry by Korean boy group Super Junior. The video on YouTube is a hit, with over 400,000 views at the time I posted this.
It’s kind of funny, shows the police in their uniforms acting all police like and then in street clothes doing their moves. I must say that those guys don’t have much rhythm, which is what makes it pretty funny. You might wonder why they did this. The motivation came from them having looked after the group when they toured in Chiang Mai. So that inspired them to make a cover of the group’s music video? I guess so.

Amusing but not funny, I won’t be passing it on anyway
I’m not going back to Chiang Mai now I know there aren’t any pretty tourist police.

Interesting – people becoming famous for (poorly) copying something done by someone else who’s famous.

What happened with this world today? Random people who covered tracks of famous artists are much entertaining than the artists themselves. XD
But at least we don’t have to see yet another group of girls or boys copying Japanese idols. A group of “uncles” is better. XD
