So I was looking at some fashion funnies and saw this one. We don’t have much use for Ugg boots in Thailand, too hot. But I saw them many times in America.
It seemed like cute skinny girls were usually wearing them.

Ugg boots are worn by surfer chicks in various parts of the world. They originated in Australia and were very popular during the 80’s. Another use for a sheepskin. I guess there has been a resurgence in their popularity since they got to the US.

I wore leggings without pants or skirts most of the time, and nobody asked me that silly question. Maybe because I’m surrounded by people with modern taste of fashion? :p
I’m sure I’d hear such a silly question like that from a caveman.

the main reason that ugg has become famous is in 2006 venus williams asked her younger sister serena to get her one ugg boots as it was cold in the usa , one thing led to another and with the world of internet it became famous in usa,.

I’ve had a pair for 27-28 years,can’t remember what they cost but I think they were a little expensive at the time. They were really worth it though after getting out of the cold surf(east coast US,windsurfing)In the last 25 years living in Hawaii(not much use for them here either)I think I’ve worn them 5-6 times on really cold nights.
The funny thing is my almost 14 year old daughter will come up with almost any excuse she can to borrow and wear them here

When I’m doing casual work for the railway I see them all the time in Sydney, girls in really short skirts hitting the city.. I joked with one they looked like the feet of polar bears
