This story seemed very odd because, as my dear readers know, most Thai ladies have very little body hair in unwanted places. Hair removal products and services don’t sell very well here, except for visiting tourists. So this Thai girl is quite a surprise because she is the world’s hairiest girl.
It is quite unusual, however, because she has a rare genetic condition called Ambras Syndrome, also known as hypertrichosis or “Werewolf Syndrome”. Only 50 cases are known since the middle ages. The girl, named Supatra Sasuphan, is 11 years old and it seems like her condition is not causing her a lot of problems at least not yet. Apparently she is pretty popular with her school mates.

Interesting. I know there’s a Mexican family where several members have the disorder. Was there any mention of other inflicted individuals in her family?
