Coffee Memories is a coffee shop on Thanarat Road near km 13 across the street from Khrua Khao Yai. You pass it on the way from Pak Chong to the entrance to Khao Yai National Park. They have a selection of hot and cold coffee drinks plus cakes. (more…)

As my dear readers probably know, we have an election in Thailand coming on July 3. Whenever there is an election the streets are lined with placards for all the different candidates. This year they are pretty entertaining so I drove around and snapped a few photos of them. (more…)

Today I went into town for some business and decided to stop for coffee at one of the several shops nearby. This town is Pak Chong which is about half way between Bangkok and Korat, about two hours drive from Bangkok. I was talking with a friend today who said they read a little news story about a family who named their kid Face after the popular website Facebook. The writer of the story thought that was so strange and said it must be the weirdest name ever for a kid. (more…)

Some years ago it was not accepted to wear dresses like that in Thailand. You would see them in magazine shoots sometimes but even the stars couldn’t wear them in public. Short hemlines were ok but plunging necklines with a lot of cleavage were not. (more…)
