About the mailing list

February 23rd, 2013

If you are a subscriber to my mailing list you know that in the past I would send out “sneak peeks” which were links to photo sets that were too sexy for this blog. I have not done that in a while but I plan to start doing it again. It seems like a lot of the magazines that have sexier photos are going over the top now days and showing more skin than they used to. So there are a lot more photos that are too sexy for my blog that I want to share via those sneak peeks.

If you aren’t a subscriber and want to receive future sneak peeks be sure to sign up via that little yellow form in the right sidebar.

Something I have noticed is that some unsubscribe requests are marked as “ISP requested removal”. Most recently those came from emails on AOL. I don’t know what that means – does it mean that your ISP unsubscribed you without you knowing about it? Some ISPs are really over zealous about spam control and block emails that people are expecting. AOL was always one of the worst. Comcast also does it. Sometimes I get bouncd emails and when I contact the person they are mad that the email they were expecting from me was blocked and their ISP doesn’t even inform them. So maybe some ISPs are also unsubscribing you from mailing lists without you knowing. Just wanted to mention this so that if you see a post about a sneak peek and wonder why you didn’t get it when you are subscribed it might be that your lovely ISP unsubscribed you without you knowing.

    Thanks for the heads-up.

I’m pretty sure this has happened to me. I loved the sneak peeks but stopped receiving them even though they were still getting mentioned :(

This is strange, I received the notification of the latest sneak peek and have not got the email at all. I have checked my junk folder too. When I try to subscribe it says this email is already subscribed.

Maybe related to the issues I mentioned but I don’t know because if an ISP or email provider blocks or drops an email I often receive no notification. Are you sure you are on the Feedblitz email list? Because some people subscribed by email via the Feedburner link but that’s not the same list.
