I know a little something about online dating since I used to run the Asian Sweetheart dating site (now only Asian hottie galleries). People use online dating because they can’t meet someone local or they are just too busy to troll all the places where they can meet people. But what do you do if you are too busy to even troll the online the dating sites? TechCrunch wrote about a solution called VirtualDatingAssistants.com.
The site has people who manage all your online dating accounts for you, setting up your profiles, screening other profiles, contacting potential dates and settin up dates. I guess this is the way those super busy high roller executives will get their dates.
I guess I have similar feelings about it as the TechCrunch author. Seems not genuine and if I went on a date and learned the guy had someone else contact and correspond with me to set up the date it would not make a good impression.

I met the girl I knew was the “one” for me online. That didn’t last very long since she passed away. I’m still devastated even though its been so long since then.
But yeah…. matchmakers/assistants/etc. is a big no for me. I prefer to handle it myself…. with the cooperation of the person I’m interested in of course.

Seems to me that there’s something wrong with your priorities if you’re so busy that you have to hire someone to arrange your dating.
I mean, matchmaking – OK, but “virtual dating assistants?”

Outsourcing on line dating seems a little to impersonal to me. How could someone else really know how you feel or what you are thinking? Oh well… maybe it’s ok for someone who’s too busy to communicate. For the rest of us, I think it’s more important for that one on one personal exchange.

I agree about the priorities comment. I think you call “making balance” in your life. Sometimes it is difficult because you have no choices. But many people want to get rich at all cost and forget about balance until late in life. I think they never get balance, or happiness, just money, then it is always about money, even paying for dating assistants. Maybe the future both sides will use dating assistants and the people only meet on wedding day.
