Have you ever been to Pattaya? Is it anything like what this video says? I think it is sort of funny that the narrator doesn’t even pronounce “Pattaya” correctly. It isn’t difficult. And shouldn’t someone promoting a place get the name right?

Pattaya is a shit hole… It used to be the place to go 10 – 15 years ago. Now it’s full of whores, drunks, katoeys and everything in between… It’s definetly not a family vacation spot.

Really? I rarely here foreigners talk about Pattaya so I didn’t know that. But don’t they just have to hear how Thai people pronounce it and copy that? It isn’t difficult.

Pattaya is probably the greatest place on earth. Multi-cultural. Inexpensive. People are relaxed, not rushing anywhere. MUch different than Bangkok. You need never be alone unless you want to be..
I’ve heard people pronounce Pattaya as the narrator does but most pronounce it pat-te-ya. I’m not sure why people feel the need to invent new pronounciations.
